I took my first malaria pill tonight and considered how familiar I may become with swatting mosquitoes. And earlier while sipping an overpriced and over-sugared iced coffee drink at Caribou, I laughed at myself and wondered how I'll ever beat my coffee addiction, or go without ice in the heat.
Then again, I could be thinking way ahead of myself. But that's something I know I'm bound to do in any situation.
But it's not long before this journey finally becomes a reality. More than anything, I hope that I'll be able to translate my experiences into words, tangible enough that you might be able to see a little bit of India as I do. Until then, stay posted!

Hi!!!
Glad you arrived. The car is sitting idle and the packing is done. Today was Joshua's birthday. I played with him to abandon. The first thing he did, after a hug and kiss, was put tissue paper on my head and was delighted when I peekout out and said "BLAAAAAA". We took lots of pictures and ate cake and ice cream. New moon today and so after sunset I will be looking at the waxing crescent thinking of you. Love MOM
Hi--now that you have departed and the car is sitting idle, how are you? Today was Joshua's birthday and we took lots of pictures. He was sooo happy to see us and I played with him to abandon. The first thing he did was put tissue paper on my head and was delighted when I said "Blaaaaaa". I thought of you. Look at the moon when it comes up this weekend. I will be looking too!!! Love, MOM
